How to Choose a Wireless Charger
The right wireless charger depends on what you need to charge and where you will use it. Start with these four checks.
1. Count your devices
A single pad suits one phone. If you also charge a watch and earbuds, a 3-in-1 stand keeps them all in one place and uses one outlet.
2. Check the wattage
Look at the output for each device, not only the headline figure. A 3-in-1 charger often gives the phone more power than the watch or earbuds. Your phone also has its own wireless charging limit, so a higher-rated charger will not always charge it faster.
3. Decide if you want magnetic charging
Magnetic chargers hold the phone in position, which helps at a desk or in a car. Check that your phone supports magnetic alignment before you buy, or whether it needs a compatible case.
4. Match it to where you use it
A folding charger is easier to pack for travel. A charging station with an alarm clock works well on a bedside table. A car mount keeps your phone charged and visible while you drive.
